Who We Are
We are the Art Generators.
You are an Art Generator.
We are a collective of artists working together to help eachother succeed. We are portrait artists, printmakers, tattooers, acrylic painters, ceramicists, fiber artists….
There is overlap in everything we do. We share our wins and our losses. Our mistakes and our successes. We believe that art is for everyone. We believe that winning is for everyone.
The Team
-

Natalie Crandall
Painting
Natalie Crandall is a painter based in Maplewood, New Jersey. Working with acrylic paints, she transforms thrifted frames into one-of-a-kind pieces of art, often incorporating the frame itself into the design for a fully reimagined look. Her work is characterized by playful, abstract interpretations of everyday objects—florals, fruits, motifs, symbols, and colors that evoke mood and emotion. Natalie spent 17 years in a career in education as a teacher, coach, and leader, and coming back to painting as her full-time focus changed her life. She hopes her art will help others embrace their own abundant creative possibilities, too.

Magie McGowan
Tattoos &. Painting
Magie and Brian McGowan are artists based in Maplewood NJ, though both originally from NYC. They have collaborated on many art projects together including the most recent utility box seen on Springfield Ave near Walgreens. Magie is also a local tattoo artist(home sweet home tattoo), and will be featuring traditional tattoo style art and illustrative florals. Brian’s art aligns with visionary style, fused with psychedelic imagery, with many patterns, details, and oftentimes vibrant colors.

Her use of rubber stamp printmaking, a traditional technique reimagined through her own lens, blends with soft textures to create layered, emotive pieces which speak of memory, movement, identity, and home. Her notable collaborations range from PBS Fabrics and Sienna Store Kolkata to a recent custom jersey design for the NJ Devils.
